First Place - Lionsgate's 'Saw 3D' - A strong Monday gross of $1.98 million puts Jigsaw on top with a five day total of $26.2 million. The seventh and final installment of the profitable horror franchise had a weekend performance that was nearly double the amount of its predecessor "Saw 6" and the 3D component was the key. Fully 92% of the $24.2 million opening weekend revenue was generated by 2,100 3D theatres.
The previous intallments from saw series didnt do such fine business, mostly because of the disturbing footages, i am amazed how it is doing so well.
